The Multi-educational and Agricultural Jesuit Institute of South Sudan (MAJIS) was set up in the year 2010 with the aim of providing basic education and training in agriculture and best animal husbandry practices. MAJIS has trained hundreds of women and a few men in different agricultural skills including vegetable production, agroforestry, as well as beekeeping and using cattle for ploughing.

The women also learn baking skills which allows them to earn a little income from bread sales. Watch the video clip below for more details about the extraordinary programs at MAJIS
